What you’ll be doing
This role will see you working with primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities to deliver curriculum-linked activities that will increase students understanding of nature and the environment.
Your day to day will include developing, planning, and delivering courses in outdoor teaching sites to students on science and geography school trips. This will involve leading groups of all abilities in the local environment, ensuring you always have the health and safety of the group in mind.
When you are not working in the field, you will also be happy to contribute to other aspects of working in a busy education centre. This is a very active role, some weeks will be long and tiring, but our tutors find this work very rewarding, and we promise you will too!

Where you’ll be based
Just 30 minutes from Taunton, Field Studies Council Nettlecombe Court is situated in a secluded valley at the eastern edge of Exmoor National Park. The house is a striking example of a Tudor and Georgian country mansion set within its own grounds.
The centre can accommodate approximately 120 people. This is spread across two single bedrooms, three twin rooms and 18 dormitory rooms which vary in size from 4-12 beds.
Who we’re looking for
You will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and some previous experience of teaching or tutoring. You will also be confident with producing and preparing various learning resources. In addition, you will have:
