What you’ll be doing
As our Education Support Assistant, you are an integral part of our education team and will support us to carry out a smooth delivery of our field courses and environmental activities.
This will involve preparing fieldwork equipment and classrooms for learners of all abilities, ensuring areas are clean and safe for use. As well as organise lesson and health and safety resources for our learning groups.
You may be required to accompany teaching staff on field trips, assist students with their fieldwork, help run environmental or problem solving games and aid teaching staff in the collection of class data.
You will be flexible to our ever-changing learning environment and be happy to assist where required to ensure our centre always runs efficiently. This may include helping our hospitality and catering team during absences and periods of high workload.

Where you’ll be based
The Rhyd-y-Creuau Field Centre is set in the beautiful, rugged landscape of the Snowdonia National Park, yet close to secluded wooded valleys, rocky shores, beaches and traditional seaside resorts.
Our 2.2 hectare estate includes a football pitch, woodland, biodiversity garden, campfire area, teambuilding challenges, stream and ponds.
We are a short drive south from the A55 North Wales Expressway, making us easily accessible throughout the year from most areas. The nearest railway station is at Betws-y-Coed, which is a simple flat walk of around 1km.
