The Catering Development & Procurement Manager is a unique role for FSC with responsibility to achieve consistency of our high quality food offer and cost efficiencies at our fantastic field centres across the UK.

Working with the Infrastructure and Finance Teams supporting Centre staff, you will be part of a team spread across the country. You’ll be working from home, Head Office or at a Centre developing a network of catering colleagues across the country to champion the best of what we do and help us change the way we purchase, prepare and deliver food to provide a consistent high quality offer for our customers. You will be developing menus that inspire customers to choose tempting food choices with the aim of reducing our carbon footprint. Your procurement expertise will ensure we use sustainable products with the benefits of purchasing at scale and improved food safety. Working with our catering & hospitality teams you will inspire and embed best practice within the sector.

A taster of what you'll be doing:

Working with Centre and specialist staff you will lead the development of our food offer.

Writing menus tempting customers to choose low carbon and locally sourced food.

Meeting suppliers to arrange the best prices for the food and suppliers to make these changes affordable.

Discussing with cooks and centre managers how best to cater for our customers needs.

Advising and supporting colleagues about how to make improvements to our food offer.

We are looking for:

An individual who is capable of redefining our food offer. We need someone who is passionate about food and the environment and able to change the way we think about food. You will need to be able to think creatively, listen and inspire colleagues as well as provide detail to support big plans.  

This position is being offered on a fixed-term based for 18 months, in the first instance, with the potential for extension
